Book of Mormon Stories

I'm still trying to learn Spanish-it's taking a long time and isn't going so easily but hey I’m trying and we need to know it. We need to use Spanish daily. My companion knows it pretty well thankfully. We came across a Spanish man digging up his yard. He was very nice and very funny in that he was surprised we weren't married yet. He told us to marry the 100-year-old man across the street from him because he's going to die soon and when he does we'll be provided for. Then we can marry for love. He was funny, but also interested in the gospel. We gave him a Spanish book of Mormon. We carry those around with us now.

We've been teaching three friends of a recently baptized couple and they are progressing wonderfully! We met with a woman and brought a sister member with us.She'd read a lot since giving her a book of Mormon and she’s eager to read and learn more. After the lesson, the sister member with us said that she enjoyed going out with us and said that we have a good spirit with us. It was really nice of her :]

We also got to meet two other friends of the couple that was recently baptized. She has an amazing knowledge of the Bible. She wasn't feeling well but said she could chat for a little bit. We ended up chatting for almost two hours because she had so many questions sharing what she believed and asking if we believed the same—and we did! Like praying to the Father through Jesus Christ, and that Jesus Christ helped create the Earth and that Heavenly Father has a body of flesh and it just went on and on. We explained how the Book of Mormon testifies of Christ as well and that there are cross references to the Bible. She was really excited to start reading the Book of Mormon and studying from it and comparing it to the Bible. She's awesome. The lesson was on the long side, (it’ll be shorter next time), but we were thrilled when they invited us back.

The Dodge City Six

Our District is fun. Our District Leader was serving in Honduras but got sick and had some other issues there and so now he's here. He's a really good leader and has made things here fun but focused. Today we're have a zone P-day so we're all going to Liberal, Kansas and we're going to have fun with a couple other districts in the area and carve pumpkins and stuff.

I love you mom!
