A Rough Week - Sick and Tired!

Hellos and Goodbyes
This week my companion was transferred to Wichita. I am now training a new companion who is actually from Georgetown! We’ve seen each other around girls camp but never really met before. Crazy, right? She’s super nice and isn’t afraid to talk to people. She’s waiting for her visa to go to Brazil so she’s been doing language study.

We had to bike a lot this week, which I am not made for. My companion, on the other hand, is. So, I've nearly died on a couple occasions trying to get to people's houses. There was one day where I was dying trying to get to someone's house. There were a lot of hills—not all of Kansas is flat—and we were about a block away and they called us and dropped us. So that was a great day. We don't have any investigators at the moment so we are looking for more investigators this week. Thankfully, we have the car this week. The senior couple has really been life savers. They've taken such good care of us when we need a ride or aren't feeling well and are always willing to help. They're like district parents. I love them and I don't know how I'll do missionary work without them when I'm transferred eventually.

We love the senior missionary couple

Saturday I was very sick and couldn't keep anything down. I would throw up and it would hurt my throat so I would try and drink a little bit of water and I would just throw it right back up. The senior sister brought me some saltine crackers, otter pops, and sprite—I love them! It's so strange to me that otter pops and sprite are so much easier to handle than water but, hey, if it works, it works. So I was pretty down on Saturday. Although I'm feeling a little better physically I'm not 100% yet. It's been hard with all the changes in the district and companions. Along with being sick and not having any investigators, and trying to learn how to train. I think I've only gotten three letters in the past two weeks. It's just been a rough week. But it will get better. It always does.
Good times in a stage coach

Love you Mom!
