On the Road Again

Meeting my new companion
Last week my companion and I had the car and had a very successful week in the work. This week, we are on bikes and my back tire has been flat. I've taken the tire off and have patched it twice but I think they're just cheap patches. So I'll be getting some better ones to fix the tire today. I'm getting the hang of taking off the back tire and putting it back on again though.

We have a few new investigators. We've visited all three of them and they seem interested and we gave them some copies of the Book of Mormon and we know the grandma at least has been reading. She also said that she felt so welcomed at the baptism and wedding that they attended, we we’re excited about them. We met our neighbors, and our neighbor across the hall works at a restaurant and was really excited to come to church when we introduced ourselves, but she works Sunday mornings.

We gave her a book of Mormon to read and she said she would but we haven't been able to come back at a time that she's home and awake. But she said we could go to her restaurant for dinner and ask for her boss and we could get a free meal. We forgot the name of her boss though, so that's a bummer.

We had a game night this week. Unfortunately, only a couple people showed up but an Elder in the district did some magic card tricks and they were crazy! One of them involved me signing my name on a card and folding it up and putting it in my mouth. then he signed his name on a card and folded it up and put it in his mouth. And we shook hands and checked the cards and they had switched! I have no idea how he did that but it was crazy!

Thank you SO much for the packages! The CDs are awesome and I love the calendar! and the chap stick—those were cute—ha, ha! And I love shirt and picture of the youth in the gym and the necklace. It was all just great! It's so weird to see how big our gym is back home! The building here doesn't have one because people don't pay tithing. So it's a pretty small building but there are smaller ones around.

Love you mom!
