Christmas Potpourri

Merry Christmas!

The Christmas service here was good, although I miss our ward. There were a couple musical performances but there is no choir and hardly anyone was actually there because everyone goes out of town for the holidays. But it was good and I enjoyed it.

So when you finish your 12-week training program you're supposed to call the vehicle guy in the mission office and let him know so he can send you a driving test to take. No one told me that so I just started driving because everyone said I could. It turns out I've been driving for like 2-1/2 months while not certified to. So I got a call and had the test sent to me. I got the call Tuesday, so now certified to drive! Yay!

We had dinner in Hanston with our senior couple and we ended up being way early so we drove around and Brother Williams said, “If you want to touch a barrel of hay, now’s your chance." So I said, “I want to climb on one!" So we did! It was lots of fun. They wobble a bit when you walk on them—ha, ha!

We went on to dinner and it was wonderful. There weren't any leftovers and I ate what I was served. The sister called us a couple days later to thank us for coming over and asked if I got enough because I "didn't eat very much" so now I have to go back and eat a bunch! But she said we were welcome back anytime and they really enjoyed having us over so that was nice :]

My companion had to go to the dentist to fix a filling that chipped off. She was there for a little over an hour and I was left in the waiting room to read my scriptures. The poor dear came out with a numb mouth. We walked down to the post office to pick up my package. The Williams picked us up from there and took us home. We had a short lunch—well, I did because my companion couldn't eat on account of her mouth. Another sister picked us up for an appointment with our investigator who lives about 45 minutes out of town. My poor companion didn’t feel well the whole time there and back again. Our investigator is planning her baptism so that’s exciting. Hopefully, next month. We came home after that and a sister bought us some soup for dinner and we stayed home the rest of the night because my companion was miserable.

The college that we usually email at is closed until after the New Year so we are at the library and we only get an hour and a half here. I wish we had more.

But the Williams are going to let us Skype and call using their computer and phone at the church Christmas at noon. So be ready at ten o’clock your time on Christmas okay?

And as far as things missing from my packages—my furry hat and my gray sweater were the only things that were taken. I got everything else, so no need to resend. :]
I love you!
