| Sister Mortensen and her terrific companion, Sister McQuay |
There was one cool experience this week. It was about 8 pm
and we were going to see one more person that night. Although she wasn't on our
plans for the day I really wanted to see a particular member of the ward. So we
went to see her, and in the dark and having the wrong address we couldn't find
her. We resolved to call her and just see how she's doing. Turns out she had
had a really terrible day and was having a hard time and she was happy that we
called. I have never had an experience like that before. I didn't even
recognize it as a spiritual prompting but I'm glad that we were able to call
her and let her know we were thinking about her.
Our new couple came to church last Sunday
have been truly wonderful! They are being so welcomed into the ward-it's great and are looking forward to being baptized on the 28th. We
had a lesson with them at a member's home and the members were so great- we
weren't even needed. It was a great lesson and we used the plan of salvation
cards mom gave me and they said it was really helpful. (So thanks for them mom!
:)
Also of the five new investigators we had last week we've lost three, but we got two more this week. It's a bummer that family dropped us but maybe
someday in the future they'll be more ready to learn. Everyone has their own
time.
This Sunday we had three less actives come to church! One of
them has committed to stop smoking too! So many good things are happening and I
feel like I'm just here to watch it all happen. None of it is because WE do
anything. It's all the Lord and how he is preparing those around us. and
pricking hearts left and right.
