| Fun with Sister Bradshaw at Conference |
This week we had Specialized training and learned
how to develop greater faith so that's something I'm trying to work on. I want
to develop a greater relationship with Jesus Christ so I've been reading the New Testament and Jesus the Christ more.
On Wednesday our district leader and his companion came
up to Holton. He said he couldn't know how to help us if he hasn't even seen
the town. So they came up and came to three appointments with us. So that was cool
that they took time out of their day for us like that.
Conference was great. We watched the first Saturday session
with some less active families. Then the second session we watched with an
investigator at her home. We showed up and she had everything all set up. (Sometimes it's just a miracle people remember we're coming over). Before it
started we were chatting and she mentioned that her dog had fleas, and that she
had them now. So that was concerning but we had no where else to watch
conference and we knew that she needed to watch it so we stayed. We sat on the
couch and during one of the talks Sister Miller scratched her head and brought
her hand in front of her to reveal a flea crawling on her finger. Of course she
gasped and killed it. I thought it was funny. That is until I scratched my neck
and found a flea there. It was not funny anymore and we both began to panic.
She found another in her hair while we were there. Needless to say we couldn't
focus on the talks for most of it. Fortunately our investigator was watching intently the whole time, and that's
what really matters.
We had to cancel our dinner appointment so we could spray
down our car, take showers, and bag our clothes. I'm happy to report that we
are both flea free :-)

| A new companion |
We watched the Sunday morning session with a family we stay with during the weekend. And we watched the second session at the
church in hopes some people would come. No one did but that's okay.
The following week, I was sick, but I'm doing MUCH better this week! I was quite sick Monday and
Tuesday and although I was improving I was still pretty sick Wednesday. But I'm
doing much better now.
This week I spent a lot of time being sick and Sister Miller
packed. She was transferred to Derby and I am now companions with Sister
Murphy. She's very nice and kind of reminds me of your sister. She's very healthy and
trying to help me to be healthier. We bought some vegetables today for soup and so it'll be good.
I'm looking forward coming home for Christmas.
