| A sister in the ward let us try riding her three-wheeled bicycle. |
Last week was busy. The first three days we packed and got
everything ready to go for transfers. We were all ready to move on.
We drove to our transfer meeting on Wednesday and the first
half was catching up with various missionaries and then there was lunch and a few
missionaries performed songs they wrote about the mission. We have some good
rappers here and some good singers. There is supposed to be a mission CD coming
out sometime. Then we went into the chapel where the trainers met their new
missionaries and there were testimonies by those going home and by those coming
in new.
I have a new companion, Sister Speed. We were transferred to
Haysville where we're the first sisters to be in this ward for about five years
so the ward is pretty excited to have us.
Church was great and the elders’ investigator was there who
they will be passing off to us because she's a woman. We met her and it went
pretty well. But we haven't had a lesson with her yet so she's not 'our'
investigator yet. But she says she wants to be baptized so we might have a
baptism in a couple weeks! That's exciting!
It's hard to get things up a moving. We need to get a
teaching pool because right now we have one. We did meet a lot of the less
actives though so hopefully we'll be able to get things going with them.
This week we got four new investigators which is awesome and
we taught a bunch of people on their doorsteps. We also have our return
appointments with them so hopefully they can start progressing. Members
have been very nice and I’m grateful for them.
This week I'll be out a full year! Crazy!
I took a picture of this Kansas bird for you.
(After some investigation, Mom says it's a barn swallow.)
