Going Down . . . .

A basement!

Sometime this week we explored the church and found the basement. Although I stood in it we didn't go down and around in it. There is a lit tunnel under the church! We're planning on exploring it more today :]

On Sunday we stopped by a less active's home before our dinner appointment--a door that has never opened before, and it opened and the person we were looking for actually still lived there and actually came to the door and actually let us in! She said she had been feeling like she should come to church and she wants to come back and read more and she was really grateful that we came by. It was a great lesson!

Something I’ve been thinking about is we always hear people say "I don't know if my prayers are being heard" or "I know He's listening but . . . " something to that effect. It's absolutely comforting to know that He does hear us, but it's not like He ever doesn't. The fact that He hears us is unchanging and will always be. What we should be more concerned about is if we're hearing Him. That's what changes. 

I'm getting to know the area pretty well, still don't know where everything is but hey that's what GPSs are for right? And also other missionaries!

We met a lot of nice people tracting. No new investigators but we handed out a Book of Mormon and a couple pamphlets on the restoration and lots of mormon.org cards. It was good I think. 

The weather this week has been crazy. We've had a couple warm days where you don't need to wear tights and other days where you wish you could wear pants. Thursday started out raining, then it hailed, then snowed, then by the end of the day the sun was out. It was crazy Kansas weather.
